TDS Meter

TDS MeterA TDS Meter measures the amount of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in a solution. Since salts and minerals contribute to the conductivity of a solution a TDS meter often measures the Electrical conductivity of the fluid which is then converted to a TDS reading.
For example:

1 mg table salt/liter of distilled water = 1 ppm TDS
